New rumors coming out of Chinese website MyDrivers suggest that the upcoming iPhone 7 Plus could feature a 256GB model and a larger 3,100 mAh battery, two things that would set it apart from the smaller iPhone 7. The battery would be 12% larger than the 2,750 mAh version that iPhone 6 currently uses.

However, the battery rumor clashes with an earlier rumor that suggested the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus would be almost as thin as the new iPod Touch. Apple would supposedly achieve this by getting rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of an all-in-one Lightning connector.

The report supports the previous rumors that the iPhone 7 modes will retain the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes, and it suggests a TSMC-built A10 chip, Intel 7360 LTE modem, and non-metallic casing. It’s important to note that MyDrivers track record when it comes to Apple rumors is mixed at best, so treat these rumors with an even larger grain of salt than usual.
