Yesterday, GoPro announced the Hero3, the latest in their line of rugged, versatile cameras. The company claims that the device is 30 percent smaller and 25 percent lighter than the cameras that came before it, making it their most portable camera yet.

The Hero3, which is Wi-Fi enabled, will be available in three models, all three of which can shoot video at 1080p. The Black Edition is priced at $399 and can record 4K video, 1080p video at 60fps, and shoot stills at 12MP. It also comes packaged with the Wi-Fi remote. For $299, the Silver Edition can record 1080p video at 30fps, 960p at 48fps, and 720 at 60fps. It can take 11MP stills. Finally, the $199 White Editions shoots 1080p and 960p at 30fps, 720p at 60fps, and takes 5MP stills.

The remote, which comes with the Black Edition and is otherwise sold separately, can control the camera within a radius of 600 feet. All three models are available for pre-order at Go Pros official site.
