Fingertips? Old School. Nano Nails? Now You’re Talking! Beth Snyder January 15, 2013 And here I thought touchscreen gloves were neat…now you can potentially use your actual fingernails just like you would the pads of your fingers! This isn’t something that occurred to me as a need since I keep my nails brutally short, but I can easily see where it would be very handy for a lot of women. This is why I am not in charge of coming up with new and creative gadgets for the market; my imagination just isn’t what it used to be. Anyway, here’s the deal with these. Nano Nails places a stylus under your fingernails, so you can use them with your phone, tablet, or whatever without having to deal with the awkwardness of using your actual fingertips. These will be available as either a full press-on nail, or as a nail tip accessory if you already have your own long nails. They will come in a package of four or six for about ten bucks (US). If you’re comfortable putting them on yourself you can do that, or you can head to your favourite salon to have them do it (obviously this will cost you more). They’re not available yet, but they’re supposed to hit the market in May. Which leaves you plenty of time to get used to them before heading out to the beach with your phone.
