While there are a number of strange and undesirable product decisions at Computex, Corsair is not among those making them. Instead, Corsair has decided to cater to their mid-range and budget buyers with the newest additions to their case lineup in the Carbide 400R and 500R.

These new mid-tower cases brings the Corsair “function first” design focus. They sport a style that can only be described as sleek, clean, and no non-sense while retaining several key features buyers loved from their big brothers.

The 500R has 2 removable HDD cages, so one can be removed for extra large GPUs. Both have rubber grommeted cable management cut outs, 8 places for fans, bottom mounted PSU tray, and a top which seems to be designed for a 2 fan liquid cooling radiator.

The Carbide series 400R and 500R are priced at $99 and $129 respectively. Expect to see them at their retailers and site come July. These should be on everyone’s case option list, especially those who want a no nonsense well built case at a great price.
