Cherries Jubilee Day

I had a dilemma about which holiday to use today, since I’ve only got enough in my inbox for one post and today is also Punctuation Day. But my love of food-related holidays (must be the cook in me) won out. If you’ve never had Cherries Jubilee, you are truly missing out on one of life’s many pleasures. There’s something about cherries and that liqueur I haven’t a hope of spelling (or pronouncing, really) set on fire and then poured over good vanilla ice cream (and/or some cake) that truly doesn’t suck. Hm…not going to happen tonight, unfortunately, as we’re both working. But I’m thinking soon I will have to make some for that man I hang out with.
