It seems I’ve become curmudgeonly in my old age, but it also seems I am not alone in that. They were interviewing people on the news who had been camping in parking lots and on sidewalks in front of big box stores…some of them since Monday! Seriously…what can possibly be a good enough sale to make you live in a tent on cement when the temperature gets down to freezing at night for several days? Maybe it’s just because I’m not overly materialistic, but quite frankly I think those people have lost their ever-loving minds. I won’t even apologize if you were one of them. Me, I participate in Buy Nothing Day. The only thing I’m spending money on today is for the taxi to take me home from work.
