Back in July, a judge at the High Court in London ruled that Samsung had not infringed on Apple’s iPad with the Galaxy Tab. He even said that the Galaxy Tab was not as “cool” as the iPad because it lacked Apple’s simplicity. Despite having a High Court judge refer to their product as “cool,” Apple wasn’t happy with the verdict and appealed it. Now they’ve lost again.

When Apple lost the first time, they were ordered to publicly apologize on their website and in several publications in an effort to undo the damage they may have done to Samsung with their original accusation. With their appeal loss, Apple must continue running those messages. Apple has been filing lawsuits against Samsung around the world and this is just another loss in an unfortunate losing streak.

I agree with Steve Wozniak on the issue. Everybody should exchange all of the patents and build the best gadgets that they can build. That would be best for the consumer, and what’s good for the consumer is good for the industry.
