My niece was just telling me this story about going to the computer store with her husband for an adapter. He comes out with the adapter he needs, but upon opening the package he tells her he has to go back and buy an adapter to make the adapter he has purchased work correctly. So my niece, who is admittedly not a computer geek like the rest of us, asks him, “So you’re telling me I have to buy an adapter in order to adapt the adapter I already bought so it can make the thing we need to adapt be correctly adapted?” He tells her yes. And she informs him that this is why she thinks all of his computer stuff is stupid.

I have to admit, the woman’s got a point!
