You know how sometimes things just pop into your head for no apparent reason? As I typed the date, I realized that today is a former friend’s birthday. We were absolutely inseparable from the time I was five until I graduated high school (she was two years older), and then it’s like we fell of the face of each other’s earth. I did find her on Facebook a while back, but didn’t bother. I mean…it’s been well over 20 years. Obviously we’ve both moved on to other things. Anyway, today is her birthday. Hope she’s having a good one!
