Futurama Canceled Once More Dylan Duarte April 22, 2013 Comedy Central, you have some guts. you bring back our precious Futurama, install that nice new carpet, just to rip it out from under us once more? The show comes back for its seventh season in June and then that’s it, as Comedy Central has declined to renew the adventures of Philip J. Fry and his band of future friends. To be fair, business is business, and if Futurama just isn’t bringing in enough money, it gets the axe. I’ll never understand Futurama’s fanbase. It has a seemingly rabid cult following, and yet those poor guys and girls can’t keep it on the air for the life of them. Comedy Central was generous enough to give us two more 26-episode seasons. They were both split into two smaller seasons, which is just a thing that happens with shows now, and the final 13 episodes will begin airing June 19th. As sad as I am to see it go, I just can’t complain about seven seasons and four straight-to-DVD movies. via The Verge Share This With The World!
