Yes, I realized the absurdity in writing up an announcement of an announcement. I also realize that folks are chomping at the bit for some news, any news, of the newest phone in Samsung's Galaxy S line. From one source to another to finally The Verge, it's been confirmed that Samsung is planning on making a few announcements on March 14th and one of those is presumed to be the Galaxy S IV.

The event will supposedly take place in the United States, likely New York City, though that's it for information at this point. The Galaxy S IV's design has been held close to the chest, which is the same way they handled the Galaxy S III.

This would mean that Samsung isn't planning to reveal anything about the Galaxy S IV at next week's Mobile World Congress, but instead watch for the debut of the Galaxy Note 8.0.
