Rumored 12-inch MacBook Air Coming in Fall Dylan Duarte June 24, 2014 Apple isn’t leaving any stone unturned, apparently. Taiwanese publication Digitimes is reporting that in addition to their 11 and 13-inch MacBook Air laptops, Apple is about to start producing a 12-inch MacBook Air too. You know, for the extremely picky consumer that needs a middle ground between 11 and 13 inches. The 12-inch MacBook Air will go into production some time this fall and it’s believed that the 11-inch model will be phased out eventually. The reasoning behind the 12-inch model is that supposedly the 11-inch screen size is too close to that of the iPad, which has had an impact on demand for notebooks. The new model will sport changes to the layout and battery, but the exterior will resemble the current models. A 12-inch MacBook Air was predicted by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo back in April, though rumors had begun swirling a month earlier in March. Ming-Chi Kuo predicted a third quarter debut and claimed that the model would be fan-less in its design. Digitimes isn’t always reliable, so as with all rumors, keep in mind that this could all end up being false. With fall right around the corner, however, we shouldn’t have to wait too long to know for sure. via iPhone in Canada Share This With The World!
