Samsung Galaxy Note9: What You Need to Know

At the Samsung Unpacked event earlier today, Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Note9. Unsurprisingly, the official unveiling confirmed much of what we’d been hearing for weeks. This is pretty much the flagship Android smartphone you’d been expecting. Just expect to open up your wallet extra wide if you want one.

The key highlights you’ll want to know about include:

Pre-orders for the carrier versions started this morning with shipments expected to commence on August 24. If you purchase the Galaxy Note9 before August 23, you’ll also get a bonus Samsung Gear IconX ($299.99 retail value). So, this is it folks. We’ve entered in the arena of $1,600+ smartphones. How long until we break the $2,000 mark as an acceptable standard for a top-tier flagship?
