Microsoft has been pushing a unified Windows experience for a while now, as its easier to herald in the robot apocalypse if all of the electronics are communicating with one another. According to a post on Dells website, the Xbox One will be the latest device to run Windows 8 applications.
Now your phone, desktop, tablet and TV can all give you a unified web and entertainment experience, reads the Skynet propaganda Dell website.
Now, Dell isnt the be-all, end-all of sources. Keep in mind that Microsoft said themselves a while back that Xbox One wouldnt be cross-compatible with Windows 8 apps without some needed tweaking. That couldve changed, of course; having the Xbox One as part of the Windows 8 family would certainly help that unified front of theirs. On the other hand, Dell could simply be misinformed. We likely wont know for sure until Microsoft says something on the issue.
