Google has managed to do a lot with its Android platform, quickly growing to become the most popular smartphone operating system on the planet. Android can be taken in its untouched vanilla form or manufacturers can customize the platform to provide a unique user experience.
What Motorola has managed to do with the 2nd-gen Moto X is offer the fast and responsive performance of pure Android, while simultaneously layering new features on top that make the fun both more fun and easier to use.
There are no unnecessary software skins and the Moto X gets quick access to the latest Android updates, providing the fastest “pure” Android experience possible.
The enhanced voice control goes beyond just Google searches to let you do almost anything on the Moto X too, including sending WhatsApp messages, pausing YouTube videos, and posting status updates on Facebook. Are you in the middle of some messy work and want to dismiss a call? You don’t have to place those dirty fingers on the screen, because you can just wave your hand over the Moto X instead.
And Motorola is staying on top of the style department too, offering consumers the choice of several genuine materials for a customized look around the curved metal frame. Watch the video below for a closer look at some of the Moto X’s unique features.
