Samsung is one of those companies that recognizes there is no such thing as a “one size fits all” solution when it comes to consumer electronics. We saw this with their recent wave of new ATIV and Galaxy Tab products. We see with this the different variants on the Galaxy line of smartphones too and it looks like Samsung could be taking the same approach for its upcoming Galaxy Note III phablet.
The first Galaxy Note was 5.3-inches and the Galaxy Note II was 5.5-inches, so we’d almost have to assume that the Galaxy Note III should be even bigger. That’s partly true, because there are rumors that there will be three different sizes of the Galaxy Note III.
Versions of the Galaxy Note III superphone were sent over to India “for R&D” purposes, measuring 5.5-inches, 5.7-inches and 6.0-inches. We can’t say for certain that Samsung will eventually release all three variants, but it does mean that they already exist in some form. If you believe all the current rumors, though, Samsung will be taking the “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” approach here and widely releasing the 5.7-inch Galaxy Note III. Other rumored specs include the quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, Android 4.3, and LTE-Advanced support.
A whole whack of model numbers have been leaked too and, following past experience, this would likely indicate the different versions for different carriers and regions. This comes from Samsung-Updates.
