BFG Tech unleashes their new 1000 watt PSU today. Known as the EX-1000, this PSU promises up to 1000 watts of power and a prestigious “80 PLUS” Bronze rating for efficiency. This is achieved using their new proprietary Frequency Conversion Technology which drastically improves low load efficiency by emulating a lower sized power supply, allowing the EX-1000 to remain “at least 80% efficient, even with loads as low as 10% of the units maximum capacity” according to the press release.
The EX-1000 is topped off by a super competitive $199.99 US price point and a lifetime warranty with 24/7 tech support.
If you’re looking around for one of these, you can find them exclusively at Best Buy where the Geek Squad will “TRY” to install it for you. Stack a few of those promotional coupons that they put out once in a while and you can have a pretty decent deal.
