The Tower Delivers Power within Arm's Reach

This is honestly such an obnoxiously first world problem I almost didn’t write about it. But seriously… This is something that truly needs to be addressed! Everywhere I’ve ever lived, I’ve had to add power strips to outlets not only to plug in multiple things, but because the outlets are as a rule not located anywhere even a little convenient. They’re behind the couch, or the bookcase, or the bed, or they’re way over in the corner where you don’t have anything. And then there’s the location of the power strip, which more often than not also ends up behind the couch, except now it’s lying on the floor and you have to perform acrobatic feats or move furniture in order to plug anything in.

Enter The Tower. This is an idea so brilliantly simple that when I saw it, I figuratively smacked myself on the forehead and said right out loud, “Well, why didn’t anyone think of that before?”

The Tower is, as you can see, a power strip that stands up and offers electrical outlets at a height and in a configuration that they’re easy to use. That’s really all it does, but my goodness is it wonderful! It’s got four regular AC outlets as well as two USB outlets, built in surge protection, and also EMI and RFI noise filters. It’s even rated for 125 VAC, 60 Hz and listed with UL and cUL for use in the US and Canada.

The Tower stands on a weighted base to prevent tipping over, and it comes with a detachable caddy in which you can place your smartphone and/or tablet while it charges to keep it safe. It’s got an on/off switch, and its plug is right-angle and low profile so it can easily be plugged in behind furniture.

I honestly can’t get over how brilliant this thing is! Of course, it’s not cheap, because innovative gadgets that solve a problem never are. If you want one, you’ll have to shell out $100.00 US.
