The News: Unplanned Purchase Edition Beth Snyder June 5, 2012 Probably I’m not the only one who does this…I’ve got a mental list of several things I want to buy, and while I don’t exactly make a budget, I have at least a general idea of when I might be able to financially handle picking them up. Yesterday, my list went completely out the window, along with paying a bill I really should not have let slide. It seems the monitor on my desktop system was “sputtering and spitting”, according to my mother. She’s been whining about it for a couple of weeks, but I’ve been ignoring her. Well…it finally bit the dust. I did get fairly lucky, though. I found a 20″ HP widescreen LCD on sale, and it’s fabulous. And it opened up a huge amount of real estate on my desk. At least she paid for half of it, since that machine has basically become hers by default since I bought my laptop.
