The News: Tuesday, February 19 Edition Beth Snyder February 19, 2013 Yesterday afternoon my sister and I went shopping for beads for the project she’s commissioned me to do, and it is going to be fabulous! She’s got this outdoor living room with a pool table and seating area, and a year or so ago she found a complete set of mini Bakelite pool balls that had been fitted with hanging hooks to be used as decorations. I’m making her a sort-of chandelier to hang over the seating area (no lights), with three sizes of silver rings. Each pool ball will hang from beaded chains made of iridescent crystal beads with accent crystal beads in matching colours, with mirror strings hanging between them. The cue ball will hang in the center on a beaded chain made of each of the colours the individual balls hang from. If it all comes together the way I’ve got it pictured in my head (and now that I’ve got several of the bead chains done, I’m pretty sure it will), it’s gonna be one of the coolest things I’ve ever done.
