The News: Summer Is Back Edition Beth Snyder May 2, 2012 In March, we were warmer than we normally are in June. Then in April, we went back to what we normally see in February, to the point where local farms have lost more than half of their cherry, apple, peach, pear, and grape crops. In fact, last night it got down near freezing again. But today, we seem to be having summer. The sun is out, there’s a light breeze, and it’s actually warm enough that I went outside without wearing so much as a sweatshirt over my t-shirt. I don’t know if this is global warming or if Mother Nature is possessed, but it’s impossible to keep up.
