Where I live, it gets cold. Not as bad as some places, but we most assuredly have winter. And it lasts for months on end. This year has been amazingly mild, with only three or four real snow storms. Now, here is it March 14, and the thermometer in my dining room says it is 78F outside and 69F inside. I’ve got the windows and doors propped open (know better than to even consider taking down storm windows this early in the year), the sun is shining, and the birds are singing. We’re supposed to get our first good thunderstorm of the year tonight. All of which makes us about 30 degrees warmer than what is normal for this time of year. I, of course, with my notorious hatred of all things cold that are not in a glass, am in seventh heaven.
