Technically, I’m not actually sick…it’s allergies. But it’s been so long since I’ve been able to breathe properly and wasn’t coughing every twelve seconds it seems as if life has never been any different. And of course people look at me like I’ve got the plague, because no one wants to get sick. It doesn’t matter how many times you explain to people that allergies are not contagious, they always assume you’re lying and actually have a cold. Trust me, some of us are not the obnoxious kind of people who lie about things like this. If I was actually sick, odds are pretty good I’d have stayed home. And if I couldn’t avoid going to work, I certainly would avoid being near people as much as possible so they didn’t catch it.
