Today I get to head to work about 90 minutes before puck drop on the Red Wings-Blackhawks game, which means I won’t see so much as a second of it. Hopefully the boys will play like they mean it, or this is going to be a very short-lived, very disappointing series. I’m going to think positively, though, and assume it’ll be like last time against Anaheim, where they play like it doesn’t matter for a game, and then come out swinging. As nerve-racking as it is to have a series go to seven games, it does provide me with more chances to watch hockey before I enter the deserted land of summer sports. My AHL team is doing swimmingly, however! Last night they made their series 3-1, so the potential is there for them to advance to conference finals after tonight’s game.
