It’s almost 3am and I am nowhere near tired enough to sleep, which is truly going to suck in a few hours. My day is packed pretty full, starting with attempting my first actual shower instead of a sponge bath (although I may chicken out again). Then it’s off for my first physical therapy session, followed by the drug store for more pain meds, the grocery store for the rest of my holiday baking supplies, the dollar store for a few odds and ends, and our local fabulous bookstore for most of my presents. After that, it’s home to figure out what I’m making for dinner and then, with any luck at all, I’ll actually get to see the man who I’ve not seen since before I had surgery, without whom I feel like I’m missing some vital organ. Like I said…this not sleeping thing is really gonna suck in a few hours.
