Well, here’s a dilemma. I posted a bit ago about how the back corner of my laptop was separating, but that I was able to get very close to fixing it by tightening a couple of screws. Ever since then, it has been getting STUPID hot. I use it actually on my lap rather than on a table, so I put a wooden TV tray under it for stability and also to make sure the vents are open. Just now I took it off the tray so I could use it for something else, and the tray was HOT. I was actually a little concerned about fire. So now I can’t decide…loosen the screws again so it doesn’t overheat, leaving a gap in the case and my screen a little floppy, or try for the 847th time to find a cooling pad that is a) designed for a 17-inch widescreen laptop, b) actually works, c)is comfortable to use on my lap without putting a pillow under it, and d) doesn’t cost more money than I can afford. I’m kind of leaning toward putting blue ice between my blanket and the tray, to be honest.
