Asus is updating their gaming laptop line with the new Asus G74SX. The all new redesigned shell of this laptop should improve thermal performance and make it more comfortable for prolonged use. The linear cooling system pulls air in from the front of the laptop, and exhausts through the back. No more choking your computer’s airflow when it’s in your lap. There is also a 5 incline for a more natural hand position.

Asus has decided to give this laptop a core system for performance which includes the i7 2630QM Sandy Bridge processor, Nvidia GeFore 560M with 3GB VRAM, EAX 5.0 supported audio, HD webcam, and 18.4″ display with 1600 x 900 native resolution. Then there will be options that include up to 1.5 TB HDD space and a 160GB SSD (supports 2 HDDs/SSDs), up to 16 GB of DDR3 RAM, and a several Blu-ray/DVD drive options.

The F117a Stealth bomber inspired Asus G74SX will pack a lot of power into a relatively small space. Then when you are done saving the world online, you can connect your laptop to a full 1080 HD TV and enjoy 3D movies. I personally played games with a laptop on a table with a mouse, but I can greatly appreciate the Asus G74 not trying to set my pants on fire when I was doing everything else.
