Take Your Tunes into the Pool With the H2O Interval Swim System Beth Snyder July 20, 2011 This is a pretty neat little system, and if I had the option of spending time in a pool I would certainly need to own one. There are any number of gadgets that allow you to take your tunes with you while you work out, jog, or whatever else it is you do for exercise. But if you’re a swimmer you really don’t have a lot of options. The H2O Interval Swim System changes all that, so now you can set your rhythm to the music and have a much more enjoyable session swimming laps. This will only work with an iPod Shuffle, so if you have some other kind of MP3 player you’re pretty much out of luck. But if you have a Shuffle, you’re going to like this. It is waterproof (submersible up to 12 feet [3.6 meters]), and specifically designed for swimmers with integrated goggle loops so you can attach it to virtually any pair of swim goggles. The entire contraption then lives on your head, with short earbud cords so you don’t have to worry about catching them as you swim. It comes with five pairs of ear plugs in various sizes, so you can be assured a tight fit without worrying about them falling out as you exercise. The ear plugs are ergonomically shaped not only for the best possible sound quality but so that they don’t provide much drag in the water that might affect your speed. The case features easy to use push button controls that align with the iPod controls for playback and volume control. Just place your iPod Shuffle in the case, attach the case to your goggles, and you’re ready to rock. This would also be handy if you happen to be out for a jog in the rain (some people do that, I’m told), or if you’re in a particularly muddy or wet location. Because the short wires leave your arms free of an encumbrance, you could easily use this while doing yard work or any other activity during which you might want to listen to music. Of course, you’ll have to wear your swim goggles while you do it, but I’m sure you could figure out a way to attach it to a hat or headband of some sort. You can pick one of these up for £49.99 or starting at $109.95 US. Source: Geek Alerts Share This With The World!
