Suto Does Research So You Don’t Have To Beth Snyder April 3, 2016 Extras The internet is a wonderful thing, especially if you like to research a product before you buy it. But sometimes doing a search using your favourite search engine is less than helpful. I can’t remember who, but there was a comedian who once said, “You search for something and get 847,678 pages of results. It’s like saying, ‘Congratulations, we found what you’re looking for and it’s on Earth!'” This is where Suto steps in to make your life easier. Suto couldn’t be easier to use, and it’s run by actual people rather than bots, so you can have a conversation to clarify what you need if they don’t quite get it right or if you (or they) need further information. All you do is head over to AskSuto.com and input your question. You can choose whether to be contacted via text, email, or Facebook Messenger, and you’ll almost immediately get a bounceback reply that they’ve received your request. The initial response gives you a time frame in which you should have a real response after they’ve searched for you (usually somewhere within 6-12 hours, but it could be longer depending on how many requests are ahead of you). I tested Suto by asking what CPU and cooling fan would be compatible with the six-year-old motherboard I’m currently using on my desktop machine. I sent my initial request well after midnight, and got a recommendation for coolers the next afternoon. I did have to write back because they didn’t realize I also needed a CPU, but almost immediately got a reply apologizing for the misunderstanding and when I woke up the next morning I had an email with a few recommendations. They also included links to purchase those items, since Suto has a partnership with several retailers. I received a follow-up email two days later asking if I needed anything else, another one the next day… and then best of all, no emails since. Suto is run by a six-person team and currently has a partnership with about a dozen retailers. If what you’re looking for isn’t sold by one of those retailers, Suto will still include a link to where you can buy it. What I love is Suto is free, and doesn’t require any personal information outside of how they can contact you to use the service. If you follow through on one of their recommendations with a purchase, then your request will be displayed on their website to help others who may have the same question. In all, Suto can be a valuable tool in your shopping arsenal and it’ll definitely save you a lot of time and headaches, especially if you’re shopping for something with which you’re not all that familiar. I’d been trying to figure out which CPU to buy for at least a week, and Suto gave me an answer within about a day. Source: Digital Trends Share This With The World!
