Summer Fun With the Water and Light Lawn Show Beth Snyder March 8, 2011 If you’ve got a lawn, you know it will need watering at some point if you don’t want to end up with huge ugly brown patches of dead grass for at least part of the summer. You also want to do something fun, because it’s summer. But with the rising cost of everything, it’s hard to choose between taking the kids to see something cool and being able to pay your water bill. Why not kill two birds with one stone? The Water and Light Lawn Show is powered completely by the force of water propelling an internal turbine generator, which not only powers the colour-changing LEDs, but pressurizes the water into an approximately 6-foot by 9-foot spray of fine mist. As the LEDs change colours, the mist picks up on it and creates an ever-changing cooling mist of prettiness while making sure your lawn, flowers and plants are watered sufficiently. Since it uses a mist, it doesn’t pool like a normal sprinkler or garden hose will, and is considerably gentler on delicate flower petals or seedlings. It measures 10 3/4 inches high by 4 inches in diameter and weighs just a half pound, and is available now for $49.95 US. Source: Coolest Gadgets Share This With The World!
