Sponsored Post: Vote for Your Favorite Storyhive Videos Michael Kwan November 25, 2014 Extras So, you want to be Internet famous? You might remember last month when we highlighted the cool Storyhive initiative by Canadian telecommunications company Telus that would see the distribution of some $400,000 to hopeful web video stars. The idea is that you submit your idea for a web series, the online community chooses a bunch of finalists, and then we all get to enjoy some awesome videos. Well, it’s now time to cast your vote on which web video series should get that juicy Storyhive money. This voting period will see the selection of the top 30 finalists–15 from British Columbia and 15 from Alberta–who will each receive a $10,000 grant to produce the pilot to their proposed web series. How they choose to spend that money is entirely up to them, as long as they can put together a short pilot episode. Storyhive is really working to encourage great local creative content and your vote could help to launch the careers of some exceptional talent. They want to be famous on the Internet and they want their videos to go viral, just like our friend Nicole in the “How to Make a Web Series” episode embedded below. Head on over to storyhive.com to check out the entries and to vote for your favorite web series pitch. The Storyhive voting phase closes on December 1. Sponsored post Share This With The World!
