Slip n’ Slide Knee Hockey Rink is the Best Summer Toy Ever Beth Snyder May 24, 2011 Seriously, this is the best thing I have ever seen in the way of summertime backyard entertainment. I must have one immediately, if not sooner. Slip n’ slide was my favourite thing when I was a kid, except for the part where I’d get going too fast and end up sliding right off the end into the grass, which really sucked. This, though…this is sheer brilliance. Hockey in the summer…what more could a girl ask for? The rink measures nine feet by five feet, and attaches to any garden hose. There are 30 nozzles, each of which spray a two-foot plume of water over both players. It comes with two plastic hockey sticks, an oversized plastic puck and two 12″ high by 32″ wide by 8″ deep inflatable goals. The rink itself is made of sturdy PVC. You can get one today for the really reasonable price of $49.95 US. What more do you need to know? Hockey under a sprinkler when it’s warm out. As I said: sheer brilliance.
