Shaw FreeRange TV Now Sorts by Rottenness of the Tomato Michael Kwan October 13, 2016 News Launched at the beginning of this year, the Shaw FreeRange TV mobile app has been remarkably useful for watching your favorite programming on the go. Or even just in the other room when the main TV is occupied by your significant other watching yet another episode about a bachelorette or a singing voice or something. Now, the app has been updated with more features for an even better user experience. For starters, in an effort to reduce confusion, the “Guide” section has been renamed to “Live TV” in the main navigation. That makes it a little clearer to differentiate regular television from the on-demand stuff. The Live TV section will now let you filter for Descriptive Video Service and the new Channel Finder should make it easier to navigate to your channel of choice. CNN HD is available too, if you subscribe to it. You can now also sort the On Demand titles based on the rating they got on Rotten Tomatoes. That’s pretty handy for avoiding garbage, unless you’re into trashy movies and TV. The expiry information for any On Demand programming you order will also be noted. The Shaw FreeRange TV app is a free download for Android and iOS devices. You can also access the service via the web on your computer. Naturally, you need to be a paying Shaw TV subscriber for anything to work. Via iPhone in Canada Share This With The World!
