Concord, ON, March 8, 2007 – SANYO Canada has launched 10 new projectors, including three High-Definition large venue projectors, one large venue XGA projector, two portable projectors, and four ultra compact projectors.

With 1000:1 contrast ratio, 24P/30p capability, 12-bit progressive scan integrated circuits, and power lens shift, the SANYO PLV-HD2000, PLV-HD150 and PLV-HD100 16:9 multimedia projectors weigh just over 80 pounds (36 kilograms). The HD2000 boasts 2048 X1080 resolution and 7000 ANSI Lumens. The HD150 also has 7000 ANSI Lumens with 1920 X1080 HD resolution. The HD100 has 1920 X1080 resolution with 5500 ANSI Lumens. MSRP ranges from $99,250 to $69,190.

Also in the large venue category, the SANYO PLC -XF42 XGA multimedia projector offers true XGA (1024 X 768) resolution, 9000 ANSI Lumens and 1100:1 contrast ratio.  The PLC-XF42 also boasts long-life optical components because of newly developed LCD panels and optical compensators and an improved cooling system. An optional network control board and a variety of optional lenses are also available. The MSRP for the PLC-XF42 is $25,000.

SANYO’s portable PLC-XT25 and XT20 XGA multimedia projectors both have 1000:1 contrast ratio, true XGA (1024 X 768) resolution and whisper quiet fan systems (maximum of 31 dB in ECO mode). The PLC-XT25 and XT20 have 4500 and 3800 ANSI Lumens respectively, and weigh in at 19.2 pounds/8.6 kilograms. These units have a number of other features including a customizable filter warning system (up to 300 hours), one touch exchange of filters from the side of the unit, a powered lens shift, fan adjustment for inclined positions, easy lens removal without screwdrivers or top plate removal, easy lamp replacement at the rear of the projector (lamp-life of 3,000 hours), and built-in test pattern. The MSRP for the PLC- XT25 is $6,840 and the PLC-XT20 is $5,700. The PLC-XT25L and PLCXT-20L are also available with the same features as the above models but sold without lenses. Various optional lenses are available for different screen sizes and throw distances. MSRP for the PLCXT25L is $6,340 and for the PLC-XT20L, $5,200.

SANYO’s new ultra portable multimedia projectors include the SANYO PLC-XU110, XU-100, PLC-XU87 and PLC-XW55. Respective weights are 7.7 pounds (3.46   kilograms), 7.5 pounds ( 3.3 kilograms), 6.0 pounds ( 2.7 kilograms) and 6.4 pounds (2.8   kilograms).

The XU-110, the world’s smallest and brightest projector, offers 4000 ANSI Lumens and 500:1 contrast ratio, wireless network flexibility, vibration anti-theft alarm, USB viewing memory viewer, and standard accessories that include a PIN Code and alarm label, network application CD-ROM, USB wireless LAN adapter and soft carrying case. MSRP is $2,790. The XU-100 offers the same features excluding wireless capability. It’s MSRP is $2,460. Optional accessories for both units include a ceiling mount, USB memory and replacement bulb.

The 2500 ANSI Lumens ultra compact XU-87 has a number of features including keystone correction to fix distorted images when slanted, PC-less presentations when used together with the optional USB memory, auto setup function, blackboard mode (to enable effective presentations in rooms with dark-surfaced walls), and a multi scan system to conform all computer output signals without troublesome manual adjustments. MSRP is $2,800. Offering many of these same features, the XW55 has 2000 ANSI Lumens and an  MSRP of $1,260.
