Cross your fingers, tech junkies. Or rather, fold them. Rumor has it that a foldable phone from Samsung could make its way to Mobile World Congress 2017. It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen foldable tech there, but considering that Samsung is determined to release a handset or two in the near future, it’s definitely more exciting.

Now, don’t get too excited, because even if Samsung does bring the goods, they’ll likely stay behind closed doors for industry partners to take a look at. Still, it would be exciting to know that they’re there and moving forward.

There’s a chance we won’t see any of the handsets until 2018, and if that ends up being the case, it might not be Samsung’s fault. Word has it that parts supplier Kolon Industries won’t have the necessary South Korea production lab up and running until January 2018. Even if Samsung is ready to pull the trigger sooner, they’ll can’t do much without their parts supplier.
