Samsung Galaxy S9, Now in New Lilac Purple February 5, 2018 There aren't too many secrets left surrounding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and its larger Galaxy S9 Plus cousin. We already know that the overall design won't be a huge departure from the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. And we've already gotten a good look at the flagship phones based on last week's leak. But now we've got an even better look and this time in the new Lilac Purple color. By all indications, Samsung will be revealing the Galaxy S9 to the world at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 25. That's just three weeks away. The newest leak, which once again comes by way of Evan Blass on Twitter, shows off both the Galaxy S9 and the S9 Plus in the new Lilac Purple. The leak also effectively confirms two other aspects of these phones that we had been anticipating. First, you'll notice that the fingerprint sensor has now been moved from beside the rear camera module to below it. This makes for a much better placement, as you're much less likely to get your fingerprint smudges all over your rear camera glass. It also makes it easier to reach, which is also good. The second thing you'll notice is that the Galaxy S9 Plus does indeed rock the dual camera configuration on the back. Unlike so many other Android phones, though, the cameras are stacked vertically rather than being placed side-by-side. This is similar to what you see on the iPhone X. We know that photography is going to be a big deal for Samsung, so it'll be interesting to see how they utilize the dual cameras this time around. And finally we have this new Lilac Purple color. It's yet unclear as to what regions will be getting this color, because not all regions have received all colors in past generations too. In addition to the Lilac Purple, we're also expecting Coral Blue, Midnight Black and Titanium Gray. Which color will you choose? Share This With The World!
