Maybe Nintendo can offset their recent losses by hiring Mario out to fix all these leaks popping up. And yes, this is the second “leaky faucet” joke I’ve made in a few weeks.
This latest leak concerns the Samsung Galaxy S5 Dx. According to @evleaks and the Samsung UK site, the device sports the model number SM-G800, which is rumored to be a number associated with the so-called Galaxy S5 mini. This would follow in the footsteps of the S3 Mini and S4 Mini before it.
According to earlier reports, Galaxy S5 Dx will be equipped with a 4.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, Android 4.4 KitKat, an 8MP rear-camera, a 2MP front camera, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory. All of this will be powered by a 2,100 mAh battery.
Going off of the image, the Galaxy S5 Dx looks a lot like the Galaxy S5, only minus the heart rate sensor and a lot more colorful.
There’s currently no release date or pricing information, but the Galaxy S5 retails for a $600, so the Dx could still cost quite a bit despite its “mini” status, which isn’t very miniature at all. Comparing size alone, the standard S5 sports a 5.1-inch screen, so 4.5-inches isn’t much smaller at all. The Galaxy S5 Dx doesn’t strike me as a budget phone. Unless it retails for significantly less than the S5, I see no reason not to pay a little more and get more bang for your buck.
