Now that we’ve grown tired of regular old reality, technology companies are jumping at the opportunity to provide us with at least a couple of alternatives: augmented reality and virtual reality. And getting in on this virtual action is getting more affordable than ever, as the Oculus blog has announced that the Samsung Gear VR is now available for pre-order.

Priced at $99, the Samsung Gear VR is a virtual reality headset that still requires the use of a compatible Samsung smartphone to serve as the display strapped mere millimeters away from your eyeballs. Powered by Oculus, the Gear VR is 19% lighter than the Innovator Edition and comes with “improved ergonomics too.”

By strapping on this set of goggles and slapping in the Samsung smartphone of choice, like the recently released Galaxy Note 5, you’ll be able to play “dozens of new made-for-VR games” and and enjoy a bunch of Oculus Video by watch of Twitch, Vimeo, Netflix and more. The Gear VR is more affordable than the Oculus Rift, assuming that you already have a compatible Samsung phone. Of course, it’s not as cheap as the rip on Google Cardboard from Microsoft or the wildly innovative View-Master Virtual Reality either.

You can place your pre-order for the Samsung Gear VR headset today on Amazon.com, Best Buy, and Samsung.com, all of which have the headset listed at just under $100. Shipments will commence next week on November 20.
