I’ve never been much of an RPG kind of guy. I mean, I get the appeal and I have plenty of friends who can talk about Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger for hours. It’s just not for me. And when it comes to the world of role-playing games, no name is larger than Final Fantasy. And now you can get all the thrills of the epic franchise in the convenience of your iPhone, because Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is up for pre-order as of today.

As you can likely surmise based on the game’s title, Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is a shrunken down version of the full Final Fantasy XV game that was released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 a little over a year ago. They’ve adapted the gameplay to be more mobile-friendly, so you’ll get tap controls for moving, talking, and fighting.

And in case you can’t tell based on the image and video above, they’ve also heavily adjusted the visual style to be simpler and more “cartoon-like” in appearance. That way, it can still run just as smoothly on your iPhone or iPad as the game runs on a “real” home console.

The good news is that just like Animal Crossing, you’ll be able to play Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition for free. The bad news is that unlike Animal Crossing, your free adventure stops after the first chapter. After that, chapters 2 and 3 will be 99 cents each, and chapters 4 through 10 will be $3.99 each. Alternatively, you can get the full bundle for $19.99.

You get all the dialog, quests and leveling up as the full console counterparts, but in a more pocket-friendly iteration featuring Prince Noctis and his fellow Final Fantasy adventurers. Now we just have to wait for the Legend of Zelda mobile game. That’s got to be coming, right?

Final Fantasy Pocket Edition (which is about 5GB in total) launches on February 9. Check out the official website for more information.
