PowerSkin is filling a niche in the market that I can’t believe has taken this long, but they’re definitely going great guns with it. They started with cases for iPhones, then added several HTC models as well as Samsung and Motorola, and now they’ve come out with Blackberry Bold and Blackberry Curve. If you remember, as soon as I found out I could get one for Thunderbolt I ordered it immediately. I’ve been using it for about two weeks, and after the initial learning curve and a couple of things I hate, I can absolutely tell you these will more than likely be worth the money.

Both cases are made of 100% recycled materials and offer a soft silicone rubber landing for your phone when you drop it. Each one has blue LED lights and an on/off button, as well as an internal battery which will double the battery life of your phone. When you plug in the case to charge, it will automatically charge your phone’s battery first before replenishing itself. In each package you will receive the XPAL-powered case and a short charging cable (if it’s like mine, it will be USB only and just six inches long including connectors, but you can use the cord your phone came with to plug it into the wall).

The Blackberry Bold PowerSkin plays well with model 9700 (AT&T and T-Mobile) and model 9780 (T-Mobile), and will deliver up to 230 more minutes of talk time. The Blackberry Curve PowerSkin is compatible with model 8530 (Sprint and Verizon) and model 8520 (T-Mobile and AT&T), and delivers up to 225 minutes more. Each of them will have 1150 mAh of battery capacity.

As with the HTC cases, MSRP is $59.99 US plus shipping, but if you pre-order before the end of July you get $10.00 off and free shipping (within the continental US only, sorry).
