Obama 2012 Wants Tech-Savvy Volunteers Dylan Duarte February 16, 2012 President Barack Obama is no stranger to technology, as evidenced by his office’s heavy use of Twitter and Facebook; they even launched a Tumblr account for his 2012 re-election campaign. It’s not surprise that his campaign is now pushing it even further, opening up a technology field office in San Francisco. Now, tech-savvy volunteers can even help work on the campaign website and related projects. There aren’t a whole lot of details available at the moment, primarily because these plans are still fresh and the Obama camp isn’t sure what they’re going to do next. Mobile app development is a possibility. Obama supporting Apple fans might remember an iPhone app released during his 2008 campaign that helped volunteers coordinate their efforts. Whatever they decide to do next, staying on the forefront of technology is both a good way to gain exposure and connect with the younger voters who have been the strongest part of Obama’s demographic. via The Verge Share This With The World!
