NZXT Gives Us the Power of Touch with the Sentry 2 Stephen Fung July 1, 2009 Press Release The folks at NZXT have been hard at work trying to come up with a way to top their original Sentry drive bay mounted system monitor. Although the original Sentry was an extremely impressive sight to behold, the fact that it took up two bays made it difficult to install in anything but a full tower case. Like the original Sentry, the Sentry 2 gives us similar features like our temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit and allows users to control fans (up to 5) with the option for manually tuning individual fan speeds. You can also just set it on auto and let it do its thing by setting a specific target temperature. An alarm will sound if the temperature exceeds the target and even stores saved settings even after it is turned off. Besides the fact that it no longer takes up two 5.25 bays to install (just one), the new Sentry 2 also features a unique touchscreen that touts a very fast response time. This prevents ham fisted individuals from poking the thing till it breaks. It also uses less than 10watts of power per channel so it won’t be the cause of heat issues inside your tightly packed gaming rig of fury. The NZXT Sentry 2 will be available this month at an MSRP of $29.99 US. More information can be found on the NZXT Website. Share This With The World!
