Moto G Plus and Moto G Play Join Motorola Family Dylan Duarte May 19, 2016 News The Moto G is back and better than ever, as is usually the case when the next generation of a smartphone rolls around. It’s not alone, either, as Motorola has added two new members to the family: the Moto G Plus and the Moto G Play. Both phones are tailored to meet specific needs. First off the standard Moto G gives you a 5.5-inch full HD display, 13-megapixel camera, an octacore processor, and a 3000 mAh battery. The TurboPower feature can give you six hours of power in fifteen minutes of charging. The Moto G Plus is the phone for photography enthusiasts. It shares the same specs as the Moto G, except for a 16-megapixel camera with laser focus and phase detect autofocus. DxOMark has rated the Moto G Plus higher than the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus in terms of camera quality. Then there’s the Moto G Play, which is smaller than the other two at 5 inches, has a quadcore processor, and a slightly weaker 2800 mAh battery, but is supposedly the cheapest (prices aren’t available yet) and runs a clutter-free version of Android that allows for better performance. The Moto G and Moto G Plus will be available soon in North America, along with several other countries. The Moto G Play will be available globally later this summer. Share This With The World!
