Is Your Moto Getting Android 7.0 Nougat? Michael Kwan October 5, 2016 News Everyone might be all excited about the new Pixel phones from Google running Android 7.1, but not everyone is prepared to buy a brand new smartphone just to get the newest operating system just yet. The rest of the phones should follow some time after that. Remember that eligible Nexus devices got the first official taste of Nougat back in late August, but we all know how this Android upgrade process feels for everything other than a Nexus/Pixel device. Here is the full list of Nougat-eligible phones from Motorola. Moto G (4th Gen) Moto G Plus (4th Gen) Moto G Play (4th Gen) Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen) Moto X Style Moto X Play Moto X Force Droid Turbo 2 Droid Maxx 2 Moto Z Moto Z Droid Moto Z Force Droid Moto Z Play Moto Z Play Droid Nexus 6 Look up your phone specifically on the software upgrades page for more information. Most of the eligible phones say that they’ll get Nougat “pending partner support.” Did your Motorola smartphone make the cut? Or are you forever stranded in Marshmallow-land?
