Mitt Romney’s iPhone App Promises ‘A Better Amercia” Dylan Duarte May 31, 2012 Extras You may not have noticed it, thanks to our advanced auto-correcting brains, but the title of this post reads “Amercia” and not “America,” the way it’s properly spelled. If you didn’t catch the mistake, don’t feel bad, because U.S. Presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s people didn’t catch it either when they released the candidate’s official iPhone app. The app, which allows users to make micro donations to Romney’s campaign, features a number of images that can be used as wallpapers for your phone. One of the images contains a flat red background, an outline of the U.S., and the words “A Better Amercia,” with “Amercia” displayed prominently and proudly. What’s even more humiliating is the “I’m with Mitt” banner at the bottom of the image. It should come as no surprise to anyone that the goof has spread across the internet like wildfire, instantly trending on Twitter and becoming a meme. It’s good to see Romney’s camp targeting the smartphone-wielding masses, but is there a worse word to misspell than the name of the country that you’re looking to lead? via Slash Gear Share This With The World!
