Microsoft Office For Android Tablet to Enter Closed Beta Dylan Duarte July 7, 2014 When I was a young lad, getting into betas was an exciting experience. Not only were you getting to try something for free, but you were doing so before most of the population and that exclusivity felt pretty cool. Now that I’m pushing thirty, I associate betas with things that are broken and frustrating. If you’re not old and bitter like me, however, you may be pleased to know that Microsoft is launching a closed beta for the Office Android tablet version. If you own an Android tablet and would like to take it for a whirl, why not head over to Microsoft’s SharePoint site and register to test the pre-release version? The beta is scheduled to happen some time later this year and participants can expect to run the full Office gauntlet, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio, Access, Publisher, and Outlook, on top of Exchange, SharePoint, and “project server products and cloud services.” Depending on what you use it for, Office can be a pretty important application, so this presents a good opportunity to see what it’s going to feel like on an Android tablet. There’s no telling how many people are going to sign up and how restrictive Microsoft will be, but I can’t imagine it will be too hard to get in. via GMA Network Share This With The World!
