Microsoft Offers Quick Fix to Update Bug, Permanent Fix Coming Dylan Duarte February 19, 2014 Xbox One users were treated to a console update on February 14th that added features like storage space management, a battery indicator for the controller, and more. However, the Valentine’s Day date went south, and the update also brought a pretty nasty bug with it. According to Microsoft, the issue wasn’t widespread, but a number of users began experiencing an issue where turning on their console would result in a black screen. Even if it only happened to a small portion of Xbox One users, that certainly seems like a pretty crippling issue. Fortunately Microsoft has offered a quick, temporary fix: upon getting the black screen, power cycle the console by holding the power button down for ten seconds. A permanent fix is on the way, but for now hopefully users will have luck with the power cycling solution. via Slash Gear Share This With The World!
