It’s that time once again! Inspired by my recent Mimobot surprise, I figured I should make a post of the weird and wacky collection I’ve been saving up for your viewing pleasure.

This first one is my next purchase, because it makes me giggle like mad. The first oddly-shaped flash drive I ever bought was a screaming hot pink skull and crossbones, and I think it needs a companion. As you can see, it’s a full skeleton. As you can also see, it holds its own head when you’re using the flash drive, eliminating the possibility that you’ll lose the cap. He’s available in 4GB ($16.00 US), 8GB ($19.00 US) or 16GB ($23.00 US).

I’ve found something for women who are perhaps a touch more girly than me. This pink and gold tone seashell necklace offers you 8GB of storage in a pretty little package. I’m not quite sure how the flash drive comes out, but I assume it’s probably in the back of the seashell somehow. There is a warning that this might not play nicely with a Mac, but otherwise it’s plug and play. You can take one home for yourself or the lady in your life for just $24.00 US.

I had to toss this one in, because I now own one. I’m like that. But seriously…who wouldn’t want Slave Leia guarding their data? As you’re probably well aware, she is available from 8GB to 64GB, with pricing ranging from $19.99 US to $69.99 US. She comes with mimoByte sound software, wallpapers and icons. Officially licensed by Lucasfilm, these are brand new on the market.

More Mimobots! These, of course, are G.I. Joe figures. You can choose from Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, or Cobra Commander. These are officially licensed by Hasbro to Mimoco, and as all their drives do, they come with screensavers, avatars, and wallpapers. But these also have bonus material: digital issues of the 1980?s comic books, episodes of the original animated series, and classic G.I. JOE PSA’s. If you’re a child of the 80’s, these are a must-have. Available from 8GB to 64GB, and pricing ranges from $19.99 US to $69.99 US.

Who doesn’t enjoy a frosty adult beverage now and then? This would be perfect for storing those questionable photos taken during your last drinking binge, so you don’t accidentally share them with the wrong people. And now for something completely different…the SanDisk Cruzer Pop. These are flashy, unconventional, and best of all, no one will suspect they’re actually flash drives, so the odds of them “accidentally” walking off are reduced. These are very thin, measuring only 0.15 inches thick. Choose from 4GB, 8GB, 16GB or 32GB. No word on pricing yet, but they should be available in stores soon.

Mickey Mouse? Possibly. Licensed as such? Highly improbable. But whatever. As you can see, this one is shaped like the famous mouse’s head, but constructed of pink crystal. It comes on a necklace, so your favourite little girl can keep it with her always. You get a whopping 32GB of storage, and it’s going to run you $55.00 US.

So you’re one of those people who is big into status symbols, huh? Well, maybe this is for you. This 8GB flash drive is actually made by BMW using a BMW keychain. In order to access the flash drive, simply press the trunk button (boot, for those of you in the UK). The other buttons do nothing, sorry. It even comes with a short USB extension to make plugging it in even easier. You can make one yours for $38.00 US.

Here’s a neat idea! Why not keep your flash drive in your phone case? Saves you carrying one more thing around in your pocket or attached to your keys, and virtually guarantees you won’t forget it. This is only compatible with iPhone, but you can’t have everything. The slide-in USB drive is available in 4GB, 8GB or 16GB, and will run you $34.95 US, $39.95 US and $49.95 US respectively.
