I can admit it…I haven’t grown up yet, nor do I have any intention of doing so any time soon. I’m kind of thinking of it like an electronic version of Silly Putty, but different, if that makes any sense. But I can easily picture myself moving it around my house making it change colours at least a few times a week. And yes, I am easily amused. How it actually works is not quite so magical… it takes two white LED lights to illuminate whatever surface it is sitting on, then uses a sophisticated optical sensor to determine the correct color. It then matches this color by adjusting the shade of numerous multi-color LED’s imbedded in its body. But for your kids…magic! It’s powered by either an included AC adapter (with a long cord) or 3 AAA batteries (not included). It even makes its own light show if you don’t want to move it around! It has a mode that will cycle through the colours. If you see one you like, just squeeze the body and it’ll stop on that colour.
