Madfinger Makes Dead Trigger Free After Rampant Piracy Dylan Duarte July 23, 2012 If there’s one thing that isn’t debatable about piracy, it’s its prevalence. Piracy is everywhere: films, videogames, books, the high seas, and even mobile platforms. Developer Madfinger Games recently released their Zombie-themed FPS Dead Trigger for Android at $0.99. However, after unsettling amounts of piracy even at that low of a cost, they’ve decided to just make the game free. It’s an attitude similar to “if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em” that Madfinger has employed, and while it’s sad that they’d have to go this route, it’s nice that they ultimately just want their game to be played. Granted, there isn’t much they can do to stop the piracy, especially when so much has already taken place, but it’s a generous move on their part to make the game available to all. Glossing over some reviews in the Google Play store, people who paid for the game aren’t too happy about the price drop, but it’s not as if Madfinger planned this. via The Verge Share This With The World!
